TESTIMONIALS ~ WHAT "THEY" ARE SAYING..

"I'm living happy, joyous and free, thanks to Eagle Ridge!"
I was a single mother on welfare, with no hope for living,"Shannon recalls. "I lost my children and was surviving on the streets, always searching for the next high, not knowing where my next meal was coming from.

I prayed daily that God would just let me die. I felt like I was worthless and death would ease my pain. I called for help, and Eagle Ridge's doors opened to me. That was the turning point for me. Eagle Ridge provided counseling, parenting, mother/child bonding, and living skills.

I remained in the Eagle Ridge residential treatment center for one full year where I regained custody of my son. Three years later, I am still clean and sober. I am employed, attending college, and helping others who have the same struggle."

"This place saved me, I was able to get my life back together as a result of coming here."
The state Department of Human Services took custody of Stacy’s four children because she was a chronic methamphetimane user; she faced 10 years in prison for various drug crimes, she said.

To get her children back and to avoid prison, Stacy needed to kick her decade-long drug habit. When she was court-ordered to enroll in a substance abuse treatment facility, she checked herself into the Eagle Ridge Institute Family Treatment Center in Guthrie.

The 18 months of treatment she received there helped her recover, stay sober and get custody of her children, she said. “This place saved me,” she said. “I was able to get my life back together as a result of coming here.” During her stay at Eagle Ridge, Stacy received counseling and attended parenting, anger management, coping skills, job training and drug abuse classes. Today Stacy is attending college, working towards her own degree in counseling so that she can give back to society and help other women who find themselves on the lonely road of addiction.
